Stephen K. Peeples, age 16, sits at throne of his Slingerland drums (equipped with one of the first sets of REMO Weather King drum heads) for the last time in his room at 950 NE 140th Street in North Miami, Fla., June 1968. A few minutes later, he started to break everything down (including street sign from notorious party alley) and clear the walls of posters (note Miami/Gulfstream Pop Fest poster on left, yellow, from May '68; Vanilla Fudge at Thee Image, the psychedelic nightclub in a former bowling alley on Collins Ave. north of Sunny Isles on Miami Beach; Simon & Garfunkle; Ravi Shankar display hustled from Discount Records; Dylan's "Greatest Hits"; "Magical Mystery Tour"; Jimi Hendrix) for his family's move to Los Angeles.
